4. She loves your partner’s ex
She always goes on and on about how great the ex is, even if she used to hate them when they used to date. Weird, right? What is the point of bringing the past up? And she does that in front of you despite the fact that it makes you uncomfortable. Or even worse! She is trying to hurt your feelings.
The best way to solve this is to talk to her and be honest about what bothers you. Even if she doesn’t realize, this is another toxic thing someone can do.
5. She makes all major events about her
Even if we are talking about holidays, birthdays, and many other major events that get planned around your mother-in-law. And because most of the time she makes everything about her, there are plenty of chances to get them ruined. Especially if she has toxic behavior.
Everything has to be held at her home, with her friends and her traditions.
It’s a fact that holidays and family gatherings should aim to please everybody, not just one person!
