In terms of the living environment, Montana is one of the best places to perform your activity from home. Second best, actually. However, the working environment in an average Montana household ranked in 43rd place, which determined the overall ranking of no. 30 in terms of the overall work from home conditions. This might be due to the state having the fourth-highest share of its residents working from home long before the pandemic started and the second-lowest share of potential home workers.

 

29 Maine

Maine is among the ten states with the best working conditions for potential telecommuters. Unfortunately, this top position is marred by its living environment which is the third-worst in the country. 28 South Carolina

The living environment in the average home in South California made it to the top ten but the same cannot be said about the working conditions which placed the Palmetto State on the 40th position. As a result, the overall ranking of South California is at no. 28.
