9 North Carolina

When it comes to the working environment, North Carolina is one of the top five states in the country. Don’t let the fact that it ranked 34th in terms of living conditions or the fact that it has quite high internet costs keep you from working from home in the Old North State. It is the ninth-best place for telecommuters, and that’s gotta mean something!

8 Oregon

Oregon residents have been working from home long before the coronavirus outbreak, making the Beaver State the third state in the United States with the highest share of telecommuters. With the 10th best work environment and 21st best living environment in the average Oregon household, the state comes in at no. 8 in terms of the at-home work conditions.

7 Utah

Social distancing is not easy in Utah due to the state ranking highest for “social environment” and second-highest for “time spent on social activities”, according to a WalletHub study. The good news is that the Beehive State provides all the facilities to work from home, ranking sixth on the list for best work from home environment. Overall, Utah made it to the top ten best places for telecommuters, confidently securing the 7th place.
