Sparkling water
Not all sparkling water is bad, but there are some versions that are loaded with artificial sweeteners, such as aspartame, acesulfame-K, sucralose, saccharin, and so on.
While drinking sparkling water isn’t technically unhealthy, drinking sparkling water that’s sweetened might represent a couple of threats. It doesn’t matter if these sweeteners have no calories at all or are even made from a plant.
They might be problematic because they’re a lot sweeter than sugar. And when you drink something that is so sweet, it might cause cravings for other unhealthy sweets, and this is the difficult part. Plus, zero-calorie artificial sweeteners come with a risk for heart disease, weight gain, and other health issues.
