The “dependents” category has been expanded
With President Biden signing the third, and largest Covid-19 stimulus package, the objective is to bring additional financial aid to millions of Americans and their families. Most prominently for American families with lower incomes who are eligible to receive a $1,400 stimulus check is the expansion of qualifying dependents.
According to the new bill, dependents of any age, including children, young adults and older adult relatives, can receive $1,400 each. The money will be given per family, not to each member separately. This means that a family of four could get a total $5,600.
