2. French fries
We love French things, we can’t lie! Wait a second. You thought French fries originated from France? It’s funny, but it’s not true.
French fries aren’t from France. Their origin is Belgium, and lately, they’ve made their permanent mark on the US as well.
This yummy dish was born in 1680 when all the fried fish lovers had to find something else that could be cooked if the river was frozen. No fish, no food? Nah, let’s find another food to eat during the winter. Next time you have some French fries, don’t forget to thank the citizens of Belgium.
…psst! And tell others too.
