7. Chimichangas
Another thing that sounds Hispanic but is not is Chimichangas, which are basically delicious deep-fried burritos, and they have their origins in the United States. Did you know?
There are a lot of recipes, but one important detail is that you must use a flour tortilla. It needs to be crispy on the outside but smooth on the inside of the wrap.
It’s easy to make your own chimichanga at home because all you need is some seasoned minced meat (depending on your preferences), rice, and beans. And don’t forget about the cheese!
