Taking credit for your ideas
According to a survey conducted by UK specialists in 2018, 1 in 5 managers constantly take credit for their employees‘ ideas. Almost all managers surveyed admitted to having stolen an employee’s idea at least once.
While stealing your idea is not prohibited by law, it is certainly prohibited by morals and ethic. If you have any ideas that are worth discussing with your boss, make sure you document everything so that you can have supporting evidence for the HR department, in case someone else takes credit for your ideas and work.
