2. Add too much ice to your drink
In conformity with a study led by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 2004, it has been found that only 15% of 327 aircraft’s water supplies have passed the health inspection standards. In 2009, EPA created the Aircraft Drinking Rule Act, which made the standards rise and it determined many airplanes to stop serving water from the tap.
However, the ice cubs that they offer are still made from the same water, which comes from the tap. Keep in mind that the water tanks that are found on the airplanes are very old and a lot of them have tons of bacteria. Linda Ferguson suggests that it is better to drink bottled water when you are on a plane, in order to keep yourself away from germs.
