When you have to spend several hours on a plane, the last thing you want to do is wear uncomfortable shoes. You can have a spare pair of more comfortable shoes or even some slippers, but never walk barefoot, especially when you’re going to the bathroom. Those floors are full of germs and bacteria.
According to a flight attendant named Linda Ferguson, there can even be sharp glass on the bathroom floor or in the galley area, because sometimes flight attendants happen to drop the glasses and they can’t see every little tiny piece of glass.
