Snoring
It’s not so uncommon to snore a little when you snooze. But here we’re talking about unusually loud snoring, that sounds similar to gasping or choking. That could be a sign of sleep apnea, which is you’re breathing stopping for a slight moment, several times at night, while you’re sleeping.
This puts additional stress on your heart. If you want to know more about this, your doctor can check if you need a sleep study to rule out this condition. If you do need it, you might need a CPAP machine, to help you smooth out your breathing while you are asleep.
