Sweetened nut milk

We all love healthy plant-based milk, and we also acknowledge its benefits. But, unless you buy the unsweetened version, most types of plant-based milk will come with some packed extra sugar, just to enhance the flavor.

This applies to any kind of plant-based milk, from coconut to almond, hemp, hazelnut, and oat. Plus, given the fact that plant-based milk is lower in protein than soy milk or the animal one, you must remember that you aren’t really getting all the good stuff either.

But again, it’s a good alternative for people who are lactose-intolerant or just prefer the plant-based versions, as long as they focus on the unsweetened versions.
