Gun laws
Republicans are famously opposed to gun control laws, and they strongly believe that American citizens should be able to get ammunition with no previous registration. Republicans also support the right to self-defense.
On the other spectrum, Democrats are in favor of a stronger arm control, but they still recognize the Second Amendment as an important part of the American tradition and that the right to use arms should definitely be preserved. Democrats also advocate for the reinstatement of the assault weapons ban, and they also believe that the government should organize a stronger background check.
Voter ID laws
Republicans are the ones asking for photo identification when it’s time to vote, as they believe this measure would prevent future cases of election fraud. On the other side, Democrats believe that everyone has the right to vote, and they’re strongly against photo identification; they see it as discriminatory.
