6. Vowel Switching

Take any sentence and replace one vowel with another (for instance, E with A). As always, don’t forget to have at least 12 characters and USA a random phrase for maximum protection:

  • I had braces when I was a teenager -> “I had bracas whan I was a taanagar”
  • I’d love to eat Italian food all the time -> “I’d love to eat Italian food ell tha tima”
  • My librarian is a great bookkeeper. -> “My librarian is a great bokkkaapar.”

7. The Sentence Method (Bruce Schneier Method)

Think of a random sentence and turn it into a strong password by taking the first two letters of every word. For instance:

  • Driving by a KFC and not stopping takes A LOT of willpower -> “DrbyaKFannostttaALOofwi”
  • Making a strong password isn’t that hard after all -> “Maastpaisthhaafal”
  • I wish I had more time to read and cook -> “IwiIhamotitoreanco”.
