Facebook is fully aware of how toxic is Instagram for many teen girls
Up until this point, researchers inside Instagram (which is under the Facebook umbrella) have been conducting studies on the impact this photo-sharing app has on millions of young users.
And there has been discovered more than once, that Instagram is harmful to a big percentage of them, but mostly, for teenage girls. And although Facebook has consistently tried to play down the app’s negative effects, its research is still not public and available for everyone.
Facebook denied that any of these might be true, saying that the negative effects aren’t widespread and that the harmful aspects of this platform aren’t so easy to address.
