There are many individuals who were targeted by the US, UK, and EU. Given the fact that they were considered oligarchs and it is believed that they are close to Vladimir Putin, many rich business leaders received sanctions.
For instance, the United Kingdom decided to put travel interdictions and to freeze the assets of Dmitry Medvedev, the former Russian president between 2008 and 2012, and Sergei Shoigu, who is the defense minister.
Besides that, the three entities also sanctioned more than 300 members of the parliament of Russia. The United Kingdom imposed restrictions on Roman Abramovich, who is the owner of Chelsea FC.
President Vladimir Putin received severe consequences as well. His personal assets are frozen in Canada, EU territory, the US, and the UK.
