As we can see, the United Kingdom made a lot of moves, and they minimized the sales of “golden visas”, which are used by rich Russians to receive their British residency rights.
There are also other financial consequences, such as:
- the most important Russian banks have been eliminated from UK’s financial system;
- the European Union wants to target approximately 70% of the banking market from Russia and their major firms owned by the state;
- all the banks from Russia have their assets frozen;
- Russia and the important companies from the country can’t borrow money or raise finance on UK territory;
- Russians have a limit regarding how much money they can deposit at UK banks.
