Don’t fly on Sunday after Thanksgiving!

Even if you are a patient and calm person, flying on Sunday immediately after the holiday is probably the worst idea ever! Why? Because in both 2019 and 2021, it was the most crowded day of the entire year in terms of passengers. All the airports were packed with people who had to return home to work on Monday, especially those who weren’t allowed to work remotely.

If possible, do yourself a favor and try to book your flights as early as possible and extend your holiday by a couple of days.

Travel on Black Friday

If you still want to travel this month but haven’t found a ticket at a good price, consider hosting Thanksgiving dinner at your home and then flying somewhere on Black Friday. Besides being the third-least crowded day of the year, almost nobody is going to go on trips on this day. Most of us prefer to seek out the best discounts and bargains. An average plane ticket is going to cost $175 or less compared to the weekend before.

…psst! Even the hotels are going to be less crowded. Any other good sides? You will also avoid the retail crowds since you won’t be out shopping. This is definitely a win-win situation.
