The picture above was taken a few days after the war began. A lot of women decided to take their children and leave their homes, hoping that things would get better.
Their husbands couldn’t join them, because they had to enroll in the army to fight the invaders, to regain their freedom. If you look at this photo, you can see a bunch of people at the Hungary-Beregsunary borders, looking for a place that is safe.
They left a country that was full of tanks, guns, fire, and disasters. They didn’t have enough time to pack their bags, they took only the things that were necessary.
