When he was asked to comment on his family life, Hunter wrote the following statement: “The important aspect of my complicated divorce, just as many other divorces, but also an equally complicated life, that was marked by the tragic loss of my mother, my sister, and my brother, is that my father has been a constant source of love and strength throughout my whole life.”
He also said that he knew his father would never “give up” on him. Following his brother Beau’s death in 2015, Hunter couldn’t stop binge-drinking vodka, and Biden, who was vice-president at the time, “ditched his Secret Service” and immediately visited Hunter’s apartment.
“Honey, what are you doing?” he recalls being asked by his dad, before urging him to check into rehab. But right after that, Hunter fell again off the wagon and become addicted to cra*k co*aine. Now, he’s an artist.
