2. James Dean
James Byron Dean was a young and handsome actor who is considered to be a cultural icon and symbol of teenage dissatisfaction, disillusionment and social alienation, due to his character, the disturbed teenager Jim Stark, in the movie from 1955, called “Rebel Without a Cause”.
There are also two other roles that turned him into a superstar, such as an outsider named Cal Trask in “East of Eden” and Jett Rink, an irritable ranch hand, in “Giant”.
He was extremely passionate about cars and fast driving and unfortunately, he died when he was only 24 years old, due to a car accident. The photo that you can see above was taken the same day he passed away. He took his car and drove on Route 466 in Cholame, California. He tried to avoid another vehicle that was coming towards him, so the actor’s Porsche swerved off the road. The young icon died on September 30th, 1955.
