7. Peanut butter and jelly
This may seem strange, but this dish is actually older than sliced bread. Sliced bread was invented in the 1920’s and the first peanut butter and jelly sandwich appeared in the Boston Cooking School Magazine in 1901. Who doesn’t love peanut butter and jelly? I remember singing along in the house with my sister before my mother gave us the sandwiches. I loved childhood!
But now we are grownups and we need to eat sweets moderately. This can be your Sunday treat!
8. Nashville hot chicken
This amazing spicy dish also has an interesting story to tell. In an effort to teach him a lesson, Thornton Prince was served chicken coated in cayenne pepper by a scorned lover. Unfortunately for him, the prince actually ended up loving the dish, and he was opening a restaurant. How cool is that? Now everybody is thankful for this! Are you a fan of spicy food?
