Bill liked doing the dishes
Can you imagine the billionaire washing dishes? Well, it turns out he actually enjoyed this family endeavor. After getting married on the Hawaiian island of Lanai on Jan. 1, 1994, Bill and Melinda became parents to three children: son Rory John, 21, and daughters Phoebe Adele, 18, and Jennifer Katharine, 25.
Surprisingly, Melinda chose to stay at home and focus on raising their children while Bill continued his work as the Microsoft CEO. In an interview with CBS’ Sunday Morning in 2017, Melinda explained that they wanted their kids to have the same moral values as they did, so, one of them had to stay with the kids at home. They, however, decided to have an equal partnership and split certain chores, which is how Bill ended up doing the dishes. During a 2014 Reddit Ask Me Anything, Bill Gates revealed that he actually did the dishes every night, “other people volunteer, but I like the way I do it.”
