Melinda thought their marriage was a “surprise”
Another time when Melinda openly discussed her marriage to Bill, was during an Instagram video in 2019. She said that meeting him at Microsoft was to be expected but what really took her by surprise was how things evolved between them.
“When I moved to Seattle to take the job at Microsoft… I knew I would meet Bill because the company was small,” she recalled. “But I certainly had no idea that I would fall in love with Bill or that we would get married.” Even if she was dating the Microsoft founder, she still did not imagine that their relationship would go that far. “That’s been one of the best surprises of my life,” she added.
