Smoke-stained clothing
Not all items in a house where its residents smoke reek of cigarette smoke, which means it’s ok to buy them. But when it comes to clothing, it’s better to leave them where they are instead of taking any of it home with you.
That’s because clothes are one of the most difficult things to get smoke odor out of. You might not realize it when you check the apparel at an outdoor yard sale but once you get home, the stench will be impossible to miss. Unless you want to smell like a walking cigarette, even if you do wash the clothes, you’d better steer clear from buying apparel from someone you don’t know.
