Immigration
Republicans are strongly in favor of tougher border controls but are also pushing for limits to immigration, at least for some countries. They also think that a stronger control on immigration would benefit all American citizens, and it would also reduce the risks related to terrorist attacks.
For instance, the Muslim ban was President Trump’s idea, and it’s a proper example of how the Republican Party views immigration and integration. However, Democrats are more open to easier immigration policies. They don’t believe that there should be any kind of control and that everyone who wants to enter the country should be allowed to do so.
Death penalty
Republicans are traditionally in favor of the death penalty, as they believe it should still be a measure for certain crimes, while Democrats are ferociously against it and see the capital punishment as too harsh. Instead, they are strongly in favor of life sentences.
