As we speak more and more about inflation, we have to take into consideration that buying groceries is only going to get more expensive than it ever has.
And even if customers won’t be able to avoid inflated prices anymore, it might pay off to do all your groceries at stores that offer competitive prices and avoid those that tend to ask for more money.
Consumer Reports actually asked a couple of shoppers to rank the price competitiveness of different grocery chains throughout the country, and apparently, these 14 stores were rated as the worst grocery stores that you could ever go to:

We don’t have any of these in Southeastern Wisconsin except Whole Foods. And both Whole Foods locations aren’t even in my neighborhood.
Thankfully NONE of these are with in 50 or more miles from my home
All the damn ads are annoying. Takes much enjoyment out of the main topic.
You forgot about srinkflation?? It’s so messed up everywhere. Even old spice is doing it now.
I’m not a regular Von’s shopper however, I do shop their sister store, Albertson’s…the sale price items and they are great. This from a “super shopper”. The reason I go to Albertsons is largely, Albertsons is closer. Again, I only shop the sale items. They do run “good sales”.
Amazon Fresh Stores.
I’ve been shopping there and I have to say their prices are incredibly low. Produce and fruit are top quality. As good as Sprout’s. And you can check out with the wave of your hand!
I go to Shaws in Newburyport Ma I have always been satisfied with their produce, meats and baked goods.
I do agree their prices are not competitive but I have usually been satisfied with the courtesy of their employees
What? How come Publix didn’t male the list?
Shaw’s: Higher prices…. accept some of the products when “on sale.”
Must be lucky to live in south Texas bc Ive never heard of these stores…I have 2 HEBs in my town along w Aldis and sam club!
