The Pandemic has been a shipwreck for most of us, both mentally and physically. A lot of people lost their jobs, and a large majority were forced to work remotely. After two years of living “the new normal,” things seem to be getting back on track. But at what cost? Right after we breathed a sigh of relief, inflation came as a huge wave all over the world.

And because bad news usually comes in two’s, 2022 is already starting to resemble fall 2020, which will result in supply problems at the supermarkets. This time, there are multiple areas of the store where there are food shortages. So customers who are trying to get their hands on a particular product might not have as much luck at the moment.

However, Katie Denis, the vice president of research for the Consumer Brands Association, says that “there is nothing to worry about because the situation is not even close to what it was back in 2020.” Whether or not we should believe this is up to the next few months to show us.
