When it left Russia: March 8th
The CEO of the company, Chris Kempczinski, made a public affirmation, saying that he decided to temporarily shut down all the restaurants that are operating in Russia.
In conformity with an investor document, there were more than 800 McDonald’s locations all over the Russian territory.
Even though all of the restaurants are managed by franchise operators usually, this is not the situation in Russia. 84% of the locations there are conducted by the company itself, in conformity with the same document.
In addition to that, it is also said that the locations in Russia, along with another 108 that are in Ukraine, were 9% of the brand’s revenue in 2021.
The CEO stated that they had hundreds of local people who worked there whether as suppliers or as partners who produced the food for the menu. However, he said that they had to be emphatic with the sensitive situation that Ukraine has to face at the moment.

All these companies that are presently shutting down their businesses, they should not make the Russian citizen suffer from lost wages and benefits for the duration until the evil man is removed from power. Continue to pay these workers unemployment type benefits until the businesses are able to start up again. All these businesses have made enough profits during their time to provide these temporary benefits until the damn conflict is over and Putin is eradicated from power.
Don’t make the Russian citizen suffer because of azzhole Putin, HELP them return to a normal life.
