9 Passwords You Should Avoid at all Costs

2. “qwerty”

Did you know that nearly a quarter of American citizens are actively using the word “qwerty” as their main password? Qwerty is very common, and people use it with another obvious number or letter sequence. A lot of people use their first names as passwords together with the word “qwerty” because it’s a simple combination that’s easy to keep in mind but also easier to hack. Next time you’re creating a new password, keep in mind to avoid “qwerty” as much as possible!

3. 123456

I don’t know if this one stands among the worst and silliest passwords ever created. And it’s even more surprising how many people still use it for their social media accounts, e-mails, or banking profiles. I know it’s simple to keep in mind, but whenever you feel that way, remember that hackers are used to cracking even the complicated ones, so this is definitely going to be “a piece of cake” for them. If 123456 is your password, change it immediately.

How about using as a password the name of a distant relative or a place you’ve never been to that you find easy to remember e.g. Antarctica999. Probably no one will guess this is your password.
