Worst No. 2: The day Melania Trump wore a certain jacket
One of the worst days of Melania Trump’s time as the hostess of the White House was when she decided to sport a certain jacket, which turned out to be one of the most inappropriate outfits she’s ever put on.
According to reporters, it was June of 2018, and the former first lady was traveling to Texas to visit those impacted by her husband’s separation policy. But let’s say a few words about the jacket. It was an army green jacket with the following words written on the back: “I really don’t care. Do U?”
To say that she was criticized for the choice would be an understatement. Shortly after, her spokesperson, Stephanie Grisham, came out with an official statement saying the jacket was just an item with no hidden message.
Donald Trump obviously couldn’t let the situation slide, and he tweeted his thoughts on the jacket. Surprisingly or not, the former president had a different opinion about the whole jacket situation, saying that the piece of clothing was referring to those who spread fake news. According to Trump, Melania reportedly wanted to let them know that she truly no longer cares.
Well, we’ll never know the true meaning behind the jacket. However, it’s safe to say that all the criticism made for a bad day for the former first lady.
