Is Russia part of the “Most Favorite Nation” trade status?
The Most Favorite Nation (MFN) is a principle that is based on the idea that all the countries in the world should treat all their trade associates equitably. This means that no one region should be “more favored” compared to the others or give special treatment to products or services that come from a particular trading partner.
The United States Congress had a meeting and decided to put the normal trade relations with Russia on hold and also ban the Russian oil imports. In addition to that, several sources say that Congress voted for Russia’s MFN trade status to be dismissed.
