What does NATO say?

NATO stands for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and it represents a military alliance that has been around since 1949 when only 12 countries were members, such as the United Kingdom, Canada, Franca, and the United States of America.

Over the years, a lot of countries joined NATO, such as Romania, Poland, Lithuania, Hungary, Slovenia, and so many others, except Ukraine and Russia.

This alliance was created with the aim that they will come to rescue one another if one of them would ever be the victim of an armed attack. They began their activity in order to resist the hazard of post-war Russian enlargement in Europe.

In 1955, Russia wanted to give NATO a response, and they created their own military alliance, which was formed by the eastern European communist regions, called the Warsaw Pact.

  1. I think the only way to stop this is if NATO puts in the no fly zone. I don’t think Puttin will want to fight the 30 countries involved with Nato. He is bombing school, hospitals and civilians he has to be stopped. These are war crimes and nothing good is coming from it. All countries should know there is someone to stop others from committing war crimes. Ukraine tried to join NATO and not sure if the process is in place. NATO needs to step up and say enough with the bombing of innocent people and children. No one should be able to invade and destroy another s country because of greed etc.

  2. Like the U.S. did during WWII, issue ration certificates for all essential commodities’ (gas, oil, food essentials) so there will be no hoarding lines, people fighting, black marketing of goods and no special privilege’s for the elite. Rationing was done then and it can be done now if the situation demands it. This will make the populous more aware of their capabilities to function in a time of crisis, in a restricted society. Working together, the U.S. will come out ahead and in the end the world benefits, PEACE.
