Russia-Ukraine Conflict: How Will The World Be Affected?

Immediate Consequences

Given the fact that Russia admitted that it causes two attacks in eastern Ukraine, Germany decided to turn off the Nord Stream 2 Baltic Sea gas pipeline project, which was created with the aim of doubling the amount of flow of Russian gas straight to Germany.

Consumers will be affected as well because prices will go up, the energy costs will rise, and the supply chains will slow down, eventually. In addition to that, these cyberattacks that Russia is responsible for could also debilitate the electronic infrastructure.

Ukrainian civilians are the ones who suffer the most. Their men are encouraged to join the army, even those who are not prepared for the military or who are under the age of 18.

A lot of women and children said goodbye to their homes and migrated to some of the neighboring countries, such as Romania, Bulgaria, and the Republic of Moldova.

We can’t even begin to imagine what everyone is going through!

  1. I think the only way to stop this is if NATO puts in the no fly zone. I don’t think Puttin will want to fight the 30 countries involved with Nato. He is bombing school, hospitals and civilians he has to be stopped. These are war crimes and nothing good is coming from it. All countries should know there is someone to stop others from committing war crimes. Ukraine tried to join NATO and not sure if the process is in place. NATO needs to step up and say enough with the bombing of innocent people and children. No one should be able to invade and destroy another s country because of greed etc.

  2. Like the U.S. did during WWII, issue ration certificates for all essential commodities’ (gas, oil, food essentials) so there will be no hoarding lines, people fighting, black marketing of goods and no special privilege’s for the elite. Rationing was done then and it can be done now if the situation demands it. This will make the populous more aware of their capabilities to function in a time of crisis, in a restricted society. Working together, the U.S. will come out ahead and in the end the world benefits, PEACE.
