This latest shooting sparked fear and panic among residents of West Texas, hundreds of miles from the city of El Paso, where early August, 22 people were killed at a Walmart store by a gunman, in an anti-Hispanic attack. 9 other people were killed in Dayton, Ohio, less than a month ago.
The type of weapon used in the shooting, AR-15, banned from 1994 until 2004, has been used in the most gruesome shootings of this decade, including at a country music festival in Las Vegas and a nightclub in Orlando, Florida.
