21 Things You Should Never Buy From Someone You Don’t Know

Wetsuits

If the thought of wearing a used wetsuit does not gross you out, then you should as least know that the material that wetsuits are made of, namely neoprene, loses its properties in time. The more it is worn, the less warmth and protection it gives. Even if the seller says it’s been lightly used, if you don’t know the person who’s selling it, it might be better to pay some extra money and buy a new wetsuit to keep you warm and protected against sea creatures like jellyfish.

DVD Players

A DVD player might hide defects that you won’t be able to see by simply looking at it while searching for deals at a garage sale. It’s hard to tell what a DVD player’s been going through. From falling from a shelf without suffering any visible scratches to accidentally having water poured on it, there are numerous scenarios that don’t have a happy ending for you if you purchase it from someone you can’t trust.

Think of it this way: if you can find a new combination DVD/JPEG/CD-R/CD-RW/CD player on Amazon, why buy a DVD player from someone you don’t know just for it to break?
