1.The largest liner in the world

The Titanic was actually the biggest ship ever made by humans. The total length was 883 feet, and the width was 92 feet. It was impressively big and, because of its grandeur, nobody thought about it sinking.

From keel to bridge, the Titanic was 104 feet high and 174 feet to the top of the stacks.

By comparison to other ships, the Titanic was the biggest in history at that very moment.

  1. The sinking of the Titanic left an indelible mark to my memory. I first saw the movie, “A night to remember”, when I was a little kid. The movie left a lasting impression on me of that tragic day. I felt the horror that it must have been for the people going down with the ship. The many lives lost and the memories of the people who died that day. Thank you for sharing the pictures of the Titanic.

  2. Three Jewish bankers who opposed the creation of the Federal Reserve were on the Titanic. They never got to oppose it.

  3. Sad story indeed, but I have to call BS on the “picture of the last boat leaving.” The Titanic sank in the middle of the night, but there’s the sheen of sunlight on the water around the boat. And it doesn’t matter to me who took the picture, I want to know who developed the film? Good try guys but that dog won’t hunt.

  4. The Titanic is why I believe in fate. My then 17-year-old grandmother was scheduled to come to America with her parents and siblings aboard the Titanic. Something happened at the last minute, and they came over a week earlier on another ship. If my grandmother was on the Titanic I most likely would not be here. They weren’t 1st class passengers, and they weren’t steerage either.
