Use a pillowcase to dust the fans
If a duster or cloth doesn’t manage to clean all the dust and debris on your ceiling fan, don’t despair. There’s another method you can use to remove dust, grime and whatnot from the fans: pillowcases. This cleaning method implies slipping a clean pillowcase between the fan blades, wipe the sides, top and bottom and then simply slide the pillowcase off, advises Leanne Stapf, COO of The Cleaning Authority.
After that, “you can then just throw your pillowcase into the washing machine,” says Stapf. No more dust flying around everywhere!
