We are not saying that her whole 2016 RNC speech was ridiculous, but this part of it is both embarrassing and paints Melania in a very bad light. Not only has it been a direct copy of Michelle Obama’s 2008 speech, but it also shows that she has never actually paid attention to the speeches of the first ladies that came before her.
Whoever wrote this speech for her set her up for failure, as we doubt that she prepared it all herself. During and after this speech, the online community dragged her for both the plagiarism in the text and for pretending she was the one who said other famous lines throughout history.
This speech was just utterly bizarre, and it shows that while you can take inspiration from others, you should also make things your own because people will notice everything!
