Car payments: According to the 2017 survey,14 percent of millennials got help for car payments and received, on average, 787 dollars. The difference in numbers is still present, with parents saying they gave their adult children $2,239, on average, for car payments in the past year.
Groceries: Around a quarter of millennials admitted to receiving around $423, on average, to pay for groceries. Guess what boomer parents had to say about the money they gave to their children. They estimated an average of $898 given to their offsprings in the past year.
Utilities: Almost 15 percent of millennials said their parents helped them pay their utility bills, receiving around $408, on average. Parents claimed they gave their children $607 for such payments.
Cellphone: 20 percent of millennials said their parents provided support with paying their phone bills. Reportedly, they received $262, on average. Parents agree to disagree, claiming they gave their children twice as much, namely $547, on average.
