Display scary signs

A thing that would make intruders think twice before stepping foot on your property is a sign that says “No Trespassing,” “Neighborhood Watch,” “Cameras In Use,” or “Beware of Dog”. The dog part is especially convincing and effective at scaring off potential burglars and thieves. Put up these signs on all sides of your house and entrances.

Lock sliding doors

One soft spot burglars can use to enter your house undetected is a sliding door. That’s because sliding doors do not have as robust locks as conventional doors. To make sure you prevent anyone from trespassing, put a wooden dowel, strong stick or a rigid metallic bar in the track of your sliding door to stop it from being opened by someone from the outside.
