The side holes in Converse shoes
Converse shoes have always been popular, even more so in the last decade. They were initially created for basketball players and included two extra holes on the side near the bottom, like shoelace holes.
Most people believe these two extra holes are meant to facilitate airflow. Others see them as a simple fashion statement and Converse staple feature. Believe it or not, the extra holes are not for airflow but for something else entirely: to help you lace your shoes better and keep laces from unraveling. Simple as that!
