Face masks
Face masks have become a new norm during the pandemic, and even with a limited protective effect, it’s still better to wear a mask than nothing at all. During the lockdowns, even if people spent more time indoors, the sale of face masks still reached record numbers.
According to online marketplace Etsy, around 24 million face masks were sold during the September quarter alone, totaling around $289 million. Gap, for instance, reported that it sold face masks across all of its brands for around $130 million in the second quarter alone.
