How they respond to someone else’s success

Let’s say you win the lottery or inherit some money from a distant aunt. Some people would be genuinely happy for you while others would envy you and even despise you for being so lucky. To figure out who’s the supportive type and who’s green with envy every time someone else is more successful than they are, watch their facial expression or listen to the way they speak.

Someone who tries to discredit another person and paint them a black picture will use all sorts of “arguments” to diminish that person’s success or good fortune. They will say something like “You do know that you’re going to have to pay a lot in taxes, right? I’d start saving if I were you!” to news of someone having a successful business. Their intention might seem good but in reality, all they want is to undermine and throw shade at others.
