Does Medicare Advantage take care of dental implants?
Original Medicare, meaning Medicare Parts A and B, doesn’t provide dental benefits, UNLESS under some extremely limited circumstances. Luckily, there are some Medicare Advantage plans, like Medicare Part C, that come with the option of covering basic or major dental services.
Nearly 53% of Medicare Advantage beneficiaries had the possibility to access preventive and extensive dental benefits in 2019. Among those benefits, there were also dental implants included. When seniors want to find out if their current plan covers dental implants, they will receive an Evidence of Coverage notice, which will specify if they will also pay for dental implants or not.
