1. Sell your clutter!
This one is quite simple. Get up and start analyzing your own home. Do you see anything that you don’t use anymore and it’s become an item that collects dust? Or do you have anything that you once liked, but now it doesn’t spark any more joy?
From old things hidden in your house to old clothes, you can always put them on eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Poshmark, or Craiglist. If you don’t want to do so, host a backyard or a garage sale, because you never know who would like to have these things.
You know that there is a quote saying that your trash or junk might be somebody else’s treasure. Why not make some money out of it? Plus, your home will be cleaner by doing so!
2. Get some cash by doing carpool
Switch up your daily routine of driving, by carpooling with your colleagues. If you have a good and safe car, offer to be the driver, as long as your coworkers contribute to all the fuel costs.
If you don’t want to be the only driver, find one of your colleagues to take turns switching places with you. This way, both of you will save up some extra cash on gas.
3. Put those free credit card rewards to use
It is time to do something with those cash-back points you have accumulated. If you are using a rewards credit card on a daily basis, you should verify your statement to see how much you are able to reclaim.
Just like money you found in the pocket of an old coat or in the couch cushions, these tips were always right under your nose, and spending them can feel like having free money that you can use, without the worry that you will be plunging into your bank account.
4. Do your own chores around the house
When it comes to doing chores around the house, such as gardening, cleaning your pool, painting your walls, cleaning your entire home, contracting other people to do it for you might seem like a good option at the beginning, but in the long run, your wallet will suffer.
If you want to have extra money at the end of the month, you can cut out these services cold turkey and start doing them by yourself. Although it might be time-consuming and annoying, if you want to have a bigger income, this is a good option.
5. Get more money by donating your blood
Assuming that you don’t have any severe health conditions, you might be able to donate blood or plasma. There are a lot of organizations across the United States of America that give donors gift cards or some cash.
You can do some research beforehand and talk to your doctor to see if you are able to do so. Besides the extra earnings, donating plasma and blood can also be beneficial for your health. Not to mention, you’ll be saving lives. It’s a win-win!
