Another in-demand job in 2020 which requires professional caretaking services is a veterinarian. “The business of animals continues to grow, and in the United States, people often treat their pets like family members,” says Heather Ishikawa, SVP at Caliper.
It’s therefore understandable that such professionals are sought after. In addition, the demand is on the rise due to growing incomes and the increase in the number of people aged 35 to 60, apparently the highest pet owner age group. Moreover, Americans are “more likely to proactively seek veterinary care and are opting for surgeries and procedures to extend the duration of quality of life of their pets,” says Ishikawa.
