Commercial drone pilot
Some say it’s an oversaturated market but being a commercial drone pilot can apparently bring you a six-figure paycheck. Despite being a new profession, representatives at SkyOp say the market is ready to explode and “while the need for commercial drone pilots has grown in recent years, the Federal Aviation Administration is predicting the demand for commercial UAV pilots will quadruple by 2020, with more than 300,000 new pilots needed to meet future demand.”
As a matter of fact, in order to address such demand, SkyOp has come up with a STEM curriculum for high school students, training them to fly commercial drones.
