Before COVID
When 2020 started, no one could have predicted what was about to happen. Unemployment in the US was low, stock markets were stable, the airline industry was making a profit for the 11th year in a row. The signs of a strong economy could also be seen in the revenues made by the US restaurant industry, which was projected to rise by another 4 percent to the record revenue of $899 billion.
