Costco might be a haven for a lot of people, especially if they get some nice discounts. And let’s be honest, we are willing to spend a lot of money on those things we don’t need to buy.
Why? Because usually, when the customer sees the yellow label, it means that specific product is on sale. Yay!
You’re happy that the umbrella for the patio is cheaper now, but do you really need it?

The only thing in this article that makes any sense is the coffee. The beans are always better because of the oils.
The rest is preference.
The books at Costco are generally bargains. It’s true that the selection is a paltry. That’s because the available books are some of the current best sellers. So, if you want to shop for books, go elsewhere. But, if you want a best seller, Costco is a worthy place to go.
I have to disagree with this article.
More nonsense.
Kirkland (Costco) canned chicken is excellent!
This entire writeup sounds to me as if the person that put this article together has a real axe to grind with Costco. I personally have been shopping at Costco for over 30 years and I cannot believe the money my family and I have saved by our major grocery shopping as well as additional,( even clothing), items at Costco. The reason I know this is because I routinely compare prices at other major retail chains with Costco pricing and find that Costco prices are much, much cheaper.
I find the fresh berries last a lot longer than my local supermarket.
hmmm… been shopping and costco and find these are definitely not hard and fast rules; soda and junk food I see to be healthy but that is in general; books can be a good deal for those items they do have though limited; canned goods can use especially some of the kirkland brand; coffee, they do sell whole bean and the coffee is repackaged labeled and made by starbucks, bakery items; depends; I freeze the muffins which I love and eat them by thawing and planning ahead and find them delicious; have found great pieces of furniture which are much better than the limited selection available in my locale; so for me don’t really follow any of these rules; but this again is just one person’s opinion on the post as is the same for me
Thank you very much for inf.
I agree with most of this, but I don’t think she has ever tasted the tuna. It is so much better than the best brands I’ve ever bought elsewhere. It’s worth every penny and keeps perfectly until used up, probably many times longer.
